Barry W Dingler

March 14, 1952 — December 7, 2022

Barry W. Dingler , 70, of Cincinnati, passed away on December 7, 2022 surrounded by family, friends and the wonderful staff at Christ Hospital who had come to know and love him. Barry was born to Kenneth "Pete" and Anita (nee Bastian) Dingler on March 14, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Barry was known to many as “Bear” or "Bearman" for his BIG personality and fearless nature. He enjoyed being on the open road and was always ready to head out on a cross country trip or to just drive around in a convertible on a sunny day. With the right company and the right car, Bear would go anywhere (especially if there was a good place to eat along the route).

Bear was called to serve. He cared about other people and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  When he found himself in a situation where he was able to help someone in need, he didn't think twice about jumping right in.

Bear loved classic cars, convertibles, class C motor homes, airplanes and watching a good movie at home.  He had an inventive mind and was always noodling on a new product or a way to improve an existing one – including during his last hospital stay. Bear faced these last medical obstacles with hope, fearlessness, and an amazingly positive attitude.  He made certain to express his admiration and gratitude to his doctors, physician assistants, nurses, and therapists.

Preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Dingler and Anita Riddell, his son, Michael Dingler.and sisters Deborah (Bazel) Weaver and Maryann Parker.

Bear is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Dingler, son, Kevin (Pam) Dingler, grandchildren, Kayla (Robert) Snell and Nina Dingler, great grandchildren Landon Forbes, Tyson, Hunter, Haliey and Kendyl Snell and siblings, Kenny (Pamela) Dingler, Doris Marie Carter and Steve Dingler and many nieces and nephews.
