Benjamin Jeffrey Tavella,
passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18th, 2020 at the age of 18. Ben was born on June 11th, 2001 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Jeff and Jill (nee Richardson) Tavella.
Ben was a 2019 graduate from William Mason High School in Mason, Ohio. He was known for his quick wit, intelligence and his ability to overcome the many physical obstacles in his life. Ben had a passion for his family, friends and his community. Those who know Ben best, felt his contagious love of life in everything he did. He made us all better people and inspired everyone he encountered.
He was most recently a freshman at the University of Dayton studying Mechanical Engineering in the Honors Program. Often known for wearing bright Hawaiian shirts, Ben quickly found his new home on campus. Ben was always right in the middle of the action, most of the time, leading the way.
Ben is survived by his parents, Jeff and Jill Tavella; brother, Alex Tavella and sister, Avery Tavella; paternal grandparents Richard and Marianne (nee Pia) Tavella; maternal grandparents Gary and Cathy (nee Robinson) Norton, John and Carol Richardson; aunts and uncles, Tim Tavella and Brad (Kym) Norton; and cousins, Anthony, Kyle and Lola Tavella and Nick, Olivia, Anahlie and Catalina Norton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, March 1st, 2020 at Christ's Church of Mason (5165 Western Row Rd, Mason, OH 45040) from 2:00 - 4:00pm. Visitation will be from 4-6pm.
