Bernice Etta Wells

Bernice Etta Wells , 97, of Mason, passed away on Friday, July 21st, 2023.  One of nine siblings (including two sets of twins), she was born on February 13th, 1926 in Cincinnati to George and Ruth (Emery) Hutchinson.

Bernice was a strong woman, both physically and mentally, and has boundless energy.  She loved music, especially classical, and she loved to dance.  She crafted many beautiful things through her love of sewing and woodworking, and lent her green thumb to her garden as well.  Bernice loved to tend to her flowers, and create beautiful outdoor spaces with her landscaping skills.

Bernice was a family-oriented person who cherished being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.  She was very loving and very loved, and will be greatly missed.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth; her husband Richard; and her eight brothers and sisters, Earl, Florence, Eugene, Bill and his twin brother, Betty (Bernice's twin sister), Helen, and Thelma.

Bernice is survived by her daughters, Wanda Lane (Jim), Nita Wells, and Diane McNally; her grandchildren, Denise Miller (Rodney), Michael Lane (Amy), Kristy Spencer (Rodney), Tim Gilbert, and Theresa Bowman (Eric); her great-grandchildren Luke (October) Miller, Joshua (Maggie) Miller, Daniel Miller, Mark Miller, Alexa Lane, Logan Lane, Cody Spencer, Kayla Spencer, Hunter Spencer, Lance Bowman, Erica Bowman, Kaitlin Gilbert, Madison Gilbert, and Tyler Gilbert; and her great-great-grandchildren Waylon Caudill and Asher Miller.
