Candace "Candie" L. Putz, of Loveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the young age of 69. Born on Tuesday, July 18, 1950 in Ottawa, Illinois, Candie was destined for a life full of love and laughter.
Candie was born with a God given talent for music. She favored the violin and piano but had an innate ability to pick up an instrument and learn how to play it. Candie's love of music led her to a career in which she could share her passion and enthusiasm with others.
As a college student at Butler University, Candie met her best-friend and soulmate, Lee Putz. One week following her 21st birthday, the two were married in Aurora, Illinois. The couple was blessed with two sons that they delighted in sharing experiences with and nurturing them throughout the years. Many trips were taken over the years to the Carribbean, Europe and Florida being treasured places to visit.
Candie taught in Lexington, Kentucky and Indianapolis, Indiana before joining the staff at Indian Hill School System in Cincinnati, Ohio as their Orchestra Director. She retired in 2014. Her charisma was contagious and captured the hearts of many students. Candie received numerous accommodations and awards for her talents, but she would say her greatest achievement was the gratitude of her students.
