Carl Donald Murphy

Carl Donald Murphy, 91 of Mason, passed away on December 28, 2023. Born to Samuel and Agnes (nee Gillespie) Murphy on February 4, 1932, in Hamilton, Ohio.

Carl enjoyed spending time on the water, whether boating or fishing, he loved it. In the winter he went to Florida and gathered all the fish for his annual fish fries at his house. Inviting family and friends to enjoy what he caught.

Carl was a proud veteran in the United States Army and served his country well. An active member of the Hugh L. Bates lodge #686 for over 65 years. He, his sons and two grandsons are all proud members of Freemasonry

Preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter, Sarah Murphy, great grandchildren, Rhiannon and Brent Osborne, four brothers and two sisters.

Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Bernice Murphy, children, Irma (Dennis Fields) Osborne, Pete (Danette) Murphy and Pat (Sharon) Murphy, grandchildren, Shawn (Kathy), Kyle (Karen), Aaron, Carl, Jillian, Jennifer, Bryan (Brandi), Jason (Marisa), great grandchildren, Tyler (Sarah), Austin, Rachel, Abigail, Emmalyn, Asher, Lexi, Savannah, Victoria, Hailey, Thomas, Matti, Kase, Branden, Bryan, Paisley and McKinley, great great grandchildren, Avery and Charlotte and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4th from 5:30-7:30pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5th at 10:00am also at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to Shrine Hospital.
