Cathy Ellen Lau

Cathy Ellen Lau (nee Easterling), 71 of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Born to Robert and Mary Ellen (nee Wilkinson) Easterling on June 8, 1949 in Middletown, Ohio.

Cathy was a nurse for several Cincinnati area hospitals and doctors offices for over 30 years. She had a love and talent for sewing, cross stitch and knitting. Spending time in her garden, with her family or on the Jersey shore were a few of her favorite things to do.

Preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mary Ellen Easterling and her daughter, Kelly Lynn Patrick.

Cathy is survived by her two children, James Chadwick (Carrie) Patrick and Marianne (Brent) Schulze, six grandchildren, Zachary, James Jacob, Gabriel and Caleb Patrick, Nicholas Hach and Samantha (Dustin) Goes, three siblings, Jan Easterling, Robert (Jennifer) Easterling and Debbie (Steve) Bell, five step-children, Mike Lau, Monica Mann, Jenny (Greg) Brunsman, John (Kathy) Lau, Andrea Lau-Ferrall, nine step-grandchildren, Olivia, Natalie and Adrian Mann, Steven Brunsman, Julie (Tyler) Sheehan, Katie and David Lau and Greg and Drew Ferrall and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Cathy’s name to SAAP or St Jude Children’s Research.
