Colleen Mills Sabot

Colleen Mills Sabot, of Mason, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at the age of 69. She was born Monday, March 17, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas, the youngest daughter of Clifford and Imogene (nee Harrell) Mills.

Colleen was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. From an early age, she was driven to create a better life for herself and her sons. She had a lifelong passion for education and reading and worked as a librarian and media specialist in public schools while furthering her own education. She earned a Master’s Degree in Library Sciences, and continued to contribute to public schools until her retirement. On January 1, 2010, she married her husband, Earl Sabot, who she described as the “most lovable man and wonderful husband.”

Colleen had a passion for all things creative and focused her energy on art and crafting after she retired. She was an amazing baker, made beautiful greeting cards, and excelled at painting. She also created beautiful arts and crafting projects for her grandkids and was continually researching, learning, and creating. Before her passing, she completed a beautiful series of family portraits so that she could always have her loved ones close.

Colleen is survived by: husband, Earl E. Sabot, Jr. of Mason, OH; sons, Eachean (Stephanie) Edmundson and Eli Edmundson of Seattle, WA; step-daughter, Cynthia Sabot of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Milo and Mabry Edmundson; sister, Patricia Lehman of Pittsburg, KS; and other loving family members and friends.

Services will be held privately for the family.
