Corey C. Moore, 42 of West Chester, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. Born to Frank D. and Johanna (nee Nichols) Moore on March 31, 1979, in Zanesville, Ohio. Corey was a graduate of The Ohio State University in 2002; where he was on the swim team. It was on that very swim team that he met the love of his life, Kristin. It was truly love at first site and from that point forward they built a beautiful life.
He was honest and kind and a devoted husband and father. Corey enjoyed spending time with his three sons. Taking them to practices and games. Sitting for hours watching Baseball, Lacrosse or Hockey games was the highlight of his life.
He and Kristin traveled and camped as a family. Some of their best memories and stories he told came from the trips that were made to his favorite spot in Hilton Head.
Corey had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh or even a chuckle; he had a gift of talking to anyone. A sports fanatic would be an understatement for Corey. He watched the OSU Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals and enjoyed the company of a friend by his side cheering on his hometown teams.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Audrey Moore and Willis and Helen Nichols.
Corey is survived by his loving wife, Kristin (nee Sander) Moore, three sons, Carter, Colton and Camden Moore, parents, Frank and Johanna Moore, In laws, Gary and Nancy Sander, siblings, Heather (Tom) Fischer, Meghan (Ryan) Claar, Jamie (Tim) Helmes and Erin (Joe) Riestenberg, nieces and nephews, Ella, Alexandra, Caleb, Reid, Mya, Kaelyn, Grant and Blake and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends at ODW.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 30th from 9:30AM-11:00AM, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM all at St John the Evangelist Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, Ohio. Family and friends are welcome to stay at St John’s church Pavilion for lunch or come after the interment.
Memorial donations may be made in Corey’s name to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Corey was an organ donor and would always do what he could to help others in need, he was a supporter of anything that could possibly help someone especially a child.
