Dallas Sams

Dallas R. Sams, 89 of Mason, passed away on November 9, 2023. Born to Elmer and Maude (nee Cochran) Sams on June 10, 1934, in London, Kentucky.

Dallas was strongly devoted to his family. He adored his wife of 69 years, Jurlene and his children, grandchildren and great grandson. He was unwavering in his faith and very active in his church.  He was a beautiful example of how a life should be lived.

Dallas enjoyed taking trips to Florida in his earlier years. Boating, fishing and waterskiing were among his favorite activities. He was also an avid golfer and was very proud of his Hole in One!  He retired from General Electric after 35 years and enjoyed gardening and woodworking in his spare time.

Preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Stella Gilford, Jessie Bowlin and Carolyn Hensley.

Dallas is survived by his beloved wife, Jurlene ‘Jerry’ Sams, children, Timothy Lee (Carolyn) Sams and Janine (Terry) Tincher, grandchildren, Dylan Sams, Abigail Sams and Olivia Sams, great grandson, Augustus, siblings, Bill (Wanda) Sams and Wanda House and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 13th from 10:00-11:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason OH 45040. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Queen City Hospice.
