Daniel E. Murphy

Daniel E. Murphy, of Mason, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the age of 74. He was born on Sunday, April 11, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Donald E. and Margaret L. (nee Hoyes) Murphy.

Born with the gift of gab, Dan never met a stranger. He had a natural talent of telling jokes, some that would make you roll your eyes, others that made you roll over with laughter. His easy going nature made it easy for him to excel as a salesman creating many lasting friendships along the way.

After several years of dating, Dan married his true soul-mate, Candice R. Castner, at Our Mother of Sorrows in Cincinnati on February 28, 1970. The couple spent the next 52 years creating memories that would last a lifetime. A man that could fix anything, Dan was the go to guy when something would break. His artistic imagination offered him the ability to create treasured keepsakes for family and friends.

Dan will be forever loved and cherished by all that knew him. As Dan would say, "Nothing hard is ever easy".

Dan was preceded in death by: parents, Donald and Margaret Murphy; and brother, Timothy Murphy.

Dan is survived by: wife, Candi Murphy; sons, Scott (April Myers) Murphy and Craig (Amel Aoudjane) Murphy; grandchildren, Christian (Jen Czmiel) Meehan, and Evan Daniel Murphy; sister, Connie (Donald) Woodbury; sister-in-law, Karen Elkins; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
