David Davis

December 17, 1943 — September 4, 2024

David Michael Davis, Sr. , 80, of West Chester, OH, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Dave was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, known for his kindness and strength of character.

Dave was the beloved husband of Sandra Davis (née Leach), with whom he shared 59 and a half wonderful years of marriage. They met in their first college class at the University of Dayton and were married two weeks after graduation. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and magical family moments. He was the proud and loving father of Nancy (Jim) Rademacher of Springboro, OH; Denise (Pat) Feasel of Golden, CO; Katie (Steve) Feldmann of West Chester, OH; and David (Jocelyn) Davis, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH. His children brought him great joy and were a constant source of pride.

Dave’s life was further enriched by his ten devoted grandchildren, who were the light of his life: Brian (Amy), Megan (Gabe), Grace, Emily, Adam, Julia (Sean), Nick, Johnny, Alex, and Jack. He cherished every moment with them, offering guidance, support, and unconditional love. He instilled in them a love of travel, taking them on many memorable vacations that they will cherish forever.  While Papa might have been intimidating in the boardroom and negotiations, he was a softie when it came to his grandchildren!

Born on December 17, 1943, to Abram and Winifred Davis in New York, New York, Dave grew up with a strong sense of family, a value that defined his life. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara (Dick) Coupe of Phoenix, AZ, sister in laws Peggy Connolly, Centerville, Oh and Betty Porter, Centerville, OH. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Godkin.

Dave will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, especially his beloved wife, Sandy. His lifelong passion for golf brought him countless happy hours on the course, where he almost perfected his swing and taught his kids and grandkids the game. Dave was an accountant and CFO by trade and an avid follower of the stock market, finding excitement in tracking his investments and making informed decisions.

Dave and Sandy cherished their time in Hilton Head, loved entertaining and spending time with friends, many of whom they had known as long as they had been married.  Their friends, both old and new, were a vital part of his life, and their love and support meant the world to him. He will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of calling him a friend.
