David L. Jones

David Lee Jones, 64, passed away peacefully April 27, 2019 at West Chester Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 17, 1954 to the late John K. and Lucille Jones (nee Kennedy).

Dave graduated from Rogers High School in Toledo, Ohio in 1972. He received his Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Bowling Green State University. He was in Sales his entire working career, retiring from Kaufman Container Co. after 25 years there in December 2014.

On May 7, 1988 Dave married the love of his Life, Jill Washburn Jones and they spent the next 30 years side by side through love, loss and all that life had to give. Dave was a loving dad to Adam T, and the late Alex K. and Ryan D Jones, caring brother to Terry (Steve) Adams, Barry (K-Ron) Jones and the late Richard (Rick) and John Kendrick Jones. He enjoyed and loved his nieces and nephews. Dave will be sorely missed by his countless friends from Toledo, BGSU, Cleveland and the Cincinnati area.

We will remember Dave for his abundant and gentle heart, his quick and dry wit, his endearing smile and his love for friends, family, dogs and all things revolving around Golf, Boston Red Sox Baseball and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Visitation will start at 9 AM May 4, 2019 with the service starting at 11 AM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason OH 45040. After burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, we will be celebrating his life at James' Third Base Sports Bar & Grill, 1079 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040 beginning about 12:15PM with drinks and appetizers.

Our family asks that you wear your favorite Ohio State, Boston Red Sox or golfing attire. Please no dark clothing.
