LIVESTREAM SERVICE FOR DAVID SMITH

David Richard Smith , 78 of West Chester, passed away with his family by his side on August 29, 2023. Born to Richard and Barbara (nee Fisk) Smith on October 30, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio.

Dave was a devoted and dedicated veteran in the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam and countless volunteer hours with his West Chester VFW post 7696. He took time to teach at the Coast Guard Auxiliary and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dave traveled the world with his wife, Theresa. They traveled inside and outside of the United States and loved every second of it. A woodworker as a hobby and a man who could play any instrument you put in his hand. He had a passion for music and all its beauty.

Dave was a family man from the start. He was a devoted husband to his dear wife, a man who enjoyed a simple joke and was good for a quick smile.

Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Barbara Smith and his sister, Phyllis Winston.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Theresa Smith, children, Dawn Crawford and William (Regina) Smith, grandchildren, Gordon (Julia) Smith, Riley Marie Smith, Logan Smith and Danielle Crawford, great grandchildren, Holden and Myles Smith and younger brother, Michael (Mary Jo) Smith.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 31st from 4:00-5:00pm with a funeral service at 5:00pm all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. Inurnment in Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
