Deborah Lynne Carper, born on September 5, 1969, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in Liberty Township on December 22, 2024. A cherished figure in the lives of her family and friends, Deborah leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and joy.
Deborah, who proudly served in the United States Army, fondly recalled her time in Germany, where she took the opportunity to explore new cultures and meet many dignitaries during her tenure in Washington, D.C. After her military service, she pursued a career at Cintas, where she worked as a Supervisor. Her dedication to her job was evident, and she was well-respected by her co-workers, who will remember her not just for her professional accomplishments, but also for her infectious spirit.
A graduate of Lakota High School, Deborah had a big heart and a deep love of animals, which endeared her to many. Her playful nature and zest for life were palpable; she made friends easily and was known to hit the dance floor whenever music filled the air. While Deborah loved to attend parties, she was never one to host them, preferring instead to revel in the joy of social gatherings.
Deborah found solace in hobbies such as camping, which she enjoyed twice a year at Talladega, reading for a needed escape, and tackling crossword puzzles. These activities provided her a wonderful outlet for relaxation and fulfillment.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond Daniel "Dan" Lobaugh; her mother, Carolyn J. (nee Jacob) Wetterich; her son, Dylan Carper; her step-sons, Daniel Lobaugh and Christopher Lobaugh; her brother, Robert McSpadden; her step-sisters, Lisa Wetterich and Toni Blackburn; as well as many other loving family members and friends whose lives she touched deeply.
Deborah is preceded in death by her father, Robert M. McSpadden, and her step-father, Robert Wetterich.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Deborah's life with a visitation on January 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 6:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, located at 6791 Tylersville Rd, Mason, OH 45040.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Animal Friends Humane Society or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
In honoring Deborah’s memory, we reflect on the warmth she brought to every room, the laughter that followed her wherever she went, and the love that will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
