Debra 'Deb' Saunders

Debra "Deb" Saunders, of South Lebanon, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the age of 64.  She was born Wednesday, November 3, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to Clarence M. and Betty J. (nee Loy) Saunders.

After many years in the IT industry, Deb was finally enjoying her retirement.  She was busy making soaps, lotions and chapsticks that she shared with family and friends.  Dozens of t-shirts display her embroidery talents as she often gave them to friends.  Deb also had an eye for beauty and was creative in her jewelry and beading designs.

Being outdoors felt like home to Deb.  She loved walking, riding her bike and hiking along scenic trails.  Deb typically worked out 3 days a week at the Countryside YMCA in Lebanon where her day would begin with weight training and end with a match of Pickle Ball.

Deb was preceded in death by: father, Clarence Saunders; and mother-in-law, Rosemary O'Mara.

Deb is survived by: her best-friend and life-partner of 40 years, Kathleen "Kath" O'Mara along with their fur-baby, Oliver Twist; mother, Betty Saunders; sister, Sandra Saunders; aunt, Wanda Waa; cousins, Julie (Randy) VanHeuklon, Steve (Debbie Riegel) Mick, Karen (Kathy) Frisch and Keely (Amanda Shea) Mick; father-in-law, Jerome O'Mara; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Susan Owen, Brendan (Lori) O'Mara, Paul (Laura Gresham) O'Mara, Brian (Allison) O'Mara, Judith (Mike) McCurdy and Mary (Michael) Gardner; many nieces and nephews, loving family members and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  Deb's life will continue to be celebrated with a reception that will immediately follow the service at the funeral home.
