A proud graduate of Princeton High School, Dennis began and concluded his 45-year career with Ford Motor Company, where he contributed to the legacy of an iconic American enterprise. His work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his career.
Dennis will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the love story he shared with his wife, Cathy (nee Thompson) Davidson. They met during their high school years, a time encapsulated by fond memories, including Dennis’ charming habit of carrying Cathy's books. Together, they enjoyed almost 50 years of marriage, building a life rich in shared experiences and love.
A devoted father and grandfather, Dennis is survived by his daughter, Rebekah (Sean) Davidson-Gable, his son, Troy (Lauren) Davidson, and three cherished grandchildren, Benjamin Calloway, Alexander Calloway, and Frederick Gable, who brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind his lifelong and very dear friend, Butch Schaub.
Dennis had a unique personality characterized by kindness, warmth, and a great sense of humor. He was a man of quiet strength, preferring intimate moments over large gatherings. Friends often noted his caring nature and attentiveness to others, a quality that endeared him to many.
His interests in traveling and camping led him and Cathy on adventures to numerous National Parks, where they diligently worked to complete their stamp book together. Additionally, Dennis enjoyed the thrill of Indian artifact hunting and bottle digging, where he uncovered treasures from the past.
An integral part of Dennis' journey was his faith. His church community played a significant role in his life, as he consistently seized opportunities to share his love of The Lord with anyone willing to listen.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, William Frederick Davidson; mother, Phyllis Jean (nee Belew) Davidson; sister, Pam Weddle; and brothers, Tim Davidson and Tom Davidson.
