Deryleann Hunt

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with broken hearts that we want to tell you, DeryleAnn passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 12:10 am.  She missed Dad dearly and they are finally together again.

Her loss of independence over the past year was very hard for her.  She missed travelling to visit family and friends and being able to watch her grandsons’ activities and sports.  She loved the many phone calls, texts, cards, pictures and visitors.  Her nieces kept a constant flow of pictures on her phone and she especially loved facetiming with her Great nephews, Declan, Gavin and Callum, in Colorado.

As she lost her independence, she made her new home at Cedar Village where she had many friends, caring nurses and wonderful aides.  She appreciated the dedication of her PT and OT teams who worked her hard and she worked hard for them, fighting with all her strength to get her independence back.  She still found joy in flower arranging, painting, jewelry making, music concerts, treats from the gift shop and walks with Sofie.

In her passing, she gave the gift of sight through organ donation.

When you see a group of schoolchildren, a watercolor painting, a cardinal, a beautiful piece of jewelry, or a tuft of pink hair, think of DeryleAnn and how those things made her smile and celebrate life.

She was so proud of her family.  Hug your kids, say "I love you" and treasure each day you have with them.
