Dolores S Yates

Dolores S. Yates (nee Schreiber), 92 of Mason, passed away on November 12, 2024. Born to Gustav and Emma (nee Kurz) Schreiber on April 22, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. Dolores was a first generation American. Her parents came from Germany to the United States where she was born and raised.

Dolores was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church and for the last 20 years was devoted to the King of Kings Lutheran Church in Mason. She was a member of the Owls Group at church, a member of the Mason Christian Village Sparrows Group and participated in a Wii bowling league at Mason Christian Village.

She was a friend to many with a quiet side. She took time to build lifelong friendships, enjoyed traveling with family and remained independent, humble and kind.

Dolores loved her trip to Hawaii in 2000 and Disney in 2001 with her husband, children and grandchildren.

A passion for music, old movies and time spent with her beloved family is what made her smile.

Preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Richard Schreiber, her husband, Paul E. Yates, and great granddaughter, Zariah Yates.

Dolores is survived by her children, David (Carol) Yates and Donna (Fred) Zouck, grandchildren, Emily (Zachary) Hayes, Eric Zouck, Stephen (Sarah) Yates and Alison Zouck, and great grandchildren, Braylee, Avery, Isaac, Xavier, Koby and Theodore.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th from 9:00-11:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 3621 Socialville-Foster Rd, Mason, OH 45040. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
