Don Snook Bowyer , 91, passed away on July 10th, 2023. He was the son of Frank and Julia (Snook) Bowyer.
As part of one of the first sets of twins ever born at Christ Hospital, Don grew up with his parents and brother in the Cincinnati area. He was a graduate of Mason High School, and he went on to become a locomotive engineer and to work at Ford.
Don could be a shy person and preferred time at home, but he absolutely loved family time and was loved greatly by his family in return. He spent many a Sunday with family watching football, and loved to watch the birds at the feeder that his daughter set up and filled for him. One of Don's favorite pastimes was to watch the stock market. He kept his eye on MSNBC, and would always take a call from his son to hear what stocks had gone up or down.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Julia; his children Danny King and Dana Joy Bowyer; and his twin brother Dale Runyon Bowyer.
Don is survived by his children, Donna Jean Gilbert (John), Darlene June Sevier, Diane Jo Holliday, Dennis Edwin Bowyer (Rebecca), Denise Jill Bowyer, Tammy Lynn Johnson (George), Donald King (Libby), Dawn Lynn King, and Howard King; and his eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held for Don on Monday, July 17th, 2023 from 11:00am-12:30pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason Ohio. Funeral services will take place at 12:30 at the funeral home, and burial will immediately follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason, Ohio.
