Donald Delay

Donald J. "Don" DeLay, age 89 of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Don was born on Friday, May 26, 1933 in Painesville, Ohio to William and Marion (nee Gardner) DeLay.

Don enjoyed watching NASCAR in his free time with his wife, Phyllis. He had a profound love for wood working, making many pieces throughout his life. Don loved to help at his church and would volunteer his time, a lot of it was spent driving for the church.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marion DeLay, and son Doug DeLay.

Don is survived by his wife: Phyllis (nee Spicer), son: Richard "Gwen" DeLay, grandchildren: Lori (Mark) Rogers, Ashley (Shaun) Hoskins and Beth (Stephanie Klump) DeLay, daughter-in-law, Jean DeLay, great- grandchildren: Connor, Alaina, Cohen, Adelyn, Kamryn, Lucy, Henry and Ella and his sister: Jeanine DeLay.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday July 13, 2022 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Mason Christian Village's Stone Center, 411 Western Row Road Mason, Ohio 45040, the memorial service will begin at 11:30AM at the Stone center.
