Dottie Schildmeyer

Dorothy "Dottie" Schildmeyer (nee Morgan) of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the age of 86. She was born Sunday, July 22, 1934 in Mt. Orab, Ohio.

Dottie enjoyed completing the word search puzzles often found in the newspapers. She enjoyed meeting with friends for a cocktail and playing bridge, her favorite card game. An avid reader, Dottie never gave up on hopeless romance novels. With a selfless heart, Dottie gave of her time and talents for many years at the Cincinnati Zoo and Drake Hospital. Her family will fondly remember her Pecan Pies, Hungarian Coffee Cake and Shrimp Cocktail.

Dottie was preceded in death by: parents, Raymond and Agnes (nee Hicks) Morgan; husband, Donald C. Schildmeyer; and sisters, Frances Ames, Mary Linker and Becky Waites.

Dottie is survived by: daughter, Sandra (Paul) Schneider; son, Kenneth (Cindy) Schildmeyer; grandchildren who affectionately called her "Nanny", Kristopher Schneider, Kari (Justin) Seedle, and Mason Schildmeyer; great-grandson, Matthew Schildmeyer; siblings, Bertie Hoggett, Bob (Teri) Morgan, Thelma Morris, and Wanda Link; and many loving family members and friends.

Services will be held privately for the family at this time with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later time when it is safe to do so.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Cincinnati Zoo.
