Dorothy Schambach

Dorothy Gladys (nee Plagge) Schambach, 95 of Mason, passed away on March 29, 2022. Born to Arthur and Ruth Bertha Marie (nee Bolduan) Plagge on December 18, 1926, in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

Dorothy was married 54 years and was a wonderful wife and mother. She enjoyed being in her kitchen and her home. Baking and being with her husband and son made her happy. Dorothy was a natural caregiver, she cared for her mother Ruth for many years.
Before marriage, Dorothy worked for 15 years for Elgin Watch Factory, in Elgin, Illinois. She had a love of travel with her family, New Orleans being her favorite spot to visit.

Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ruth Plagge, her husband, Elmer Lloyd Schambach, brother, Norman Plagge and sister, Lucille Rich.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Glenn (Diana) Schambach and her dear cousin, Marilyn Brauer.
