Edward Allen Lang, age 97, peacefully passed away on January 9, 2025, at Mason Christian Village. He was born on November 13, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Allan and Beatrice (Crary) Lang. Ed was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, known for his warmth and devotion to family. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he served his country honorably before embarking on a successful career with GE, where he was an aerospace, mechanical engineer who studied vibration analysis and retired after 56 years of service. In addition to his professional achievements, Ed had a passion for life that included playing tennis, skiing, and traveling. He showcased his musical talents as a trumpet player in his own Dance Band in Miami, Florida. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Betty Ann (Sattler) Lang; children Monica (Charles Duskin) Lang, Cheryl (Joel) Householder, Susan (Chris) Nash; grandchildren Angela, Alex, Alan, Darcy, Darien, Jason, Jake, Natalie; great grandchildren Duane, Dashawn, Deasya, Deangelo, Lily, Oliver, Alex, and Aaliya; as well as his brother-in-law Don (Kappie) Sattler. Private family services are in the care of Mueller Funeral Home. Ed will be remembered for his kind spirit and the joyful memories he created with those who loved him.
