Edward Stanley Mroz

September 17, 1934 — December 18, 2024

Ed Mroz, 90, passed into everlasting life with Jesus on Thursday, December 18, 2024. He was born September 17, 1934 to Mr. & Mrs. Walenty Mroz in Susquehanna, PA. He had a loving and active childhood growing up with two older brothers, Ray & Joe.

 After his early years of education and some work experience, he received his BS degree at Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, N.Y. and his MBA from Texas A&M while working at Ford Motor Company.

Ed met Terry, his best friend, in Endicott NY, where they married during his time at RIT. They were married for over 60 years. They were blessed with three wonderful children; Lisa, Craig, and Sabrina; a son in law, Jason; three wonderful grandchildren; Nathan (spouse Ashlee), Ryan and Christina. 

 After graduation from RIT, Ed and Terry started life in Livonia, Michigan as he began his career with Ford Motor Co. Most of his career was with Ford Motor Company in the Glass Division - 32 years. He retired in 1996. This career saw a move many times; from Detroit to Nashville to Dallas to Cleveland and then back to Dallas. After retirement, they stayed in McKinney Texas for many years. After leaving Ford Motor Company, Ed then had several post retirement gigs. Ed always said “Don’t retire”. He managed an aluminum warehouse for Ideal Lockhart Metals in Dallas, TX. After Ideal Lockhart., he managed sales for Pro Built Mfg., all patio doors to 38 Lowes stores in 4 states. He was one of the first employed at TPC Craig Ranch Golf Course opening day September 4, 2004. Spending 11 years there. Then he went to Open House Network (OHN) where he hosted model homes for area builders in the McKinney area.

Ed loved travelling and took the opportunity for many exciting adventures traveling around the world with his wife, Terry, and many times with his brother in law, Jim.

 In 2022, after 50 years in Texas, he and Terry moved to Cincinnati to build a retirement home. They wanted to be near family. 

Ed was a K of C Member and a 4th Degree. He was a brother of the St. Gabriel’s Mango Men where he enriched his spiritual life to be a better person. He attended CRHP Xlll (Christ Renews His Parish) October 3-4, 2009 at St. Gabriel’s in McKinney, TX. This was a complete transformation of his life. It was then he gave his life over to Christ and accepting Our Lord into his life as his savior. His and Terry’s love for St. Gabriel Catholic Church in McKinney, TX was immeasurable and they both were involved in many activities. After their move, their desire was to become involved with St. Susanna parish in the same way.

Survivors include his wife, Terry; daughters Lisa and Sabrina. Sabrina’s spouse Jason. Three grandchildren Nathan (wife Ashlee), Ryan, and Christina. Brother and sister in law Jim and Jan DeMarco of Fountain Valley, Calif. and their children, Gina and Steven. Sister In Law, Rose Mroz of Pennsylvania and her children Rosemary and spouse, John. Along with many other descendants. 

Praying the Rosary will begin on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Susanna Catholic Church with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00am.  Arrangements are in the care of Mueller Funeral Home.
