Elaine Lyda Robinson

Elaine Lyda (nee Ritter) Robinson, of Monroe, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the age of 90. She was born Friday, July 12, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Lydia (nee Hoger) Ritter.

Knowledgeable about the bible, Elaine was dedicated to her church too and was a mentor to many. Over the years, she held many roles teaching Sunday School and participating in Women's Group. She continued to stay active with Royal Redeemer Church through the Bible Study Group and playing bunco until her health declined.

Growing up during the depression taught Elaine the value of a dollar. The family could share stories for hours of ways Elaine would save just about anything with plans of using it in the future. She also had a talent for creating meals for a family of seven using few ingredients. Keeping all things fair, Elaine had a template cut out of wax paper to assure each family member got the same size of pie slice after dinner.

Give Elaine some fabric with needle and thread and she could create just about anything. She sewed many pieces of clothing over the years but truly enjoyed making things for the home. Organized would not even begin to describe Elaine as everyday of the week held a particular chore. She will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Elaine was preceded in death by: parents, William and Lydia Ritter; husband, William Robinson; son-in-law, Richard Ware; brother, Marvin (June) Ritter; and sister, Bernice (William) Duncan.

Elaine is survived by: daughters, Nancy Ware, Linda (Mike) Curran, Judy (Robert) Snider, Jennifer (Kevin) Aldrich and Claudia Campbell; grandchildren, William (Carrie) Ware, Christopher (Heather) Ware, Leah (Stephen) Prychodko, John (Corie) Curran, Ryan (Erin) Snider, Kyle Snider, Katherine (Robert) Romano, Ashely (Casey) Sonner, and Westin Campbell; great-grandchildren, Elaina, William Gabriel, Allison and Emma Ware, Madeline Prychodko, Anthony Simon, Declan and Asher Curran, Isaac, Elise, and Grant Snider, Isabel Snider, Lydia, Heidi, Kevin Walker, and Lorelai Romano, Robert Carabez, Leland and Natalya Sonner; and many loving family members and friends.

A Graveside Service will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231, where Elaine will be placed next to her husband and parents in Arlington Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to: Hospice of Dayton or Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church.
