Emmalou “Emma” Bergen, age 72, passed away suddenly on December 23, 2024.
Born on July 15, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio, she is the beloved daughter of the late William and Hazel (nee Reid) Bergen.
Emma is survived by her children, Casi Bergen, Jennifer (Brian Thomas) Bergen, and David (Lauren) Helm. Her legacy also includes her grandchildren, Destiny Freeman, Cameron Barnes, Willow Barnes, and Charlotte Helm, and great-grandson, Grayson. She is remembered fondly by her sister Peggy (Jack) Alexander, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Emma’s faithful companion, her dog Luna, will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Shirley Mcintosh, Dale Bergen and Richard Bergen. Also preceded in death by her beloved dog Hudson.
A loving and hardworking individual, Emma found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was known for her creative spirit, often crafting Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren. A talented cook and was often sought after for her culinary advice by family.
Emma enjoyed her quiet moments watching her favorite shows and playing games. However, her greatest love was reserved for her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
In honor of Emma’s life and the love she shared A memorial gathering will take place on Friday January 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 3:00PM.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
