Eric P. Begehr

Eric P. Begehr, of Cincinnati, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at his residence at the age of 64. He was born Saturday, January 11, 1958 in Cincinnati to Werner G. and Mary Ellen (nee Kappa) Begehr.

Growing up in Cincinnati, Eric was a proud graduate of St. Xavier High School. He furthered his education at Ohio University where he played on the Division 1 school team. A natural born athlete, Eric loved to learn and participate in just about any sport. He even had opportunities to try out for the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns as a kicker.

On Saturday, June 24, 2000, a hot and humid day in Mobile, Alabama, Eric married his best-friend and longtime sweetheart, Judy Rudolph. Together, they traveled as much as they could experiencing all that life had to offer. As they welcomed their son and daughter into the world, Eric focused his energy on them. He coached nearly every team they played on quickly earning the respect & love of the children and parents with his fun and motivating spirit.

A salesman at heart, Eric never met a stranger. Everywhere he went Eric saw a familiar face that was sure to recognize him as well. Eric loved life and wanted everyone around him to have just as much fun as he was. He will be forever loved and cherished by all those knew him.

Eric was preceded in death by: father, Werner G. Begehr; and brother-in-law, Erich Rudolph.

Eric is survived by: wife, Judy Begehr; son, Hunter Begehr; daughter, Margaux Begehr; mother, Mary Ellen Begehr; parents-in-law, Erich and Margaret Rudolph; lots of loving Kappa Cousins; and many friends he loved as family.

Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM at All Saints Church, 8939 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236. Inurnment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
