Ermina D. Tarvin

Ermina D. Tarvin (nee Rosano), of West Chester, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in the comfort of her home at the age of 88. She was born Tuesday, September 9, 1930 in Long Beach, New Jersey to Rocco and Elizabeth (nee Delfilippo) Rosano.

On April 11, 1953, Ermina Rosano said "I Do" to her sweetheart, Richard F. Tarvin. Together, they would build a home filled with laughter and amazing home cooked meals. A secretary at General Electric, Ermina retired after 35 years.

A devout Catholic, Ermina lifted many up in prayers and lighting candles. She also enjoyed reading and the challenge of cross-word puzzles. Ermina took great pride in caring for her home creating an environment that was inviting for others. She will always be remembered for her amazing spaghetti, lasagna, and Italian Wedding Soup she made every year at Christmas.

Ermina was preceded in death by: parents, Rocco and Elizabeth Rosano; husband, Richard F. Tarvin; and daughter, Diana E. Dowd.

Ermina is survived by: daughters, Maureen (Jay Yasbeck) Menke and Anna-Marie (Scott) Webb; grandchildren, Richard (Jillian) Dowd, Stephen (Jennifer) Dowd, Jorge A. Martinez and Angela McAllister; great-grandchildren, Audry Dowd, Travis Dowd, Gavin Dowd, Baylor Dowd and Riley Diana McAllister; and a host of loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, July 12, 2019 from 10:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, Ohio.
