ERNEST DEBORD LIVESTREAM SERVICE

Ernest J. DeBord, age 81 passed away on March 11, 2024, at West Chester Assisted Living. He was born to the late James and Lorene (nee Pennington) DeBord on January 25, 1943, in Hamilton, Ohio.

Ernest graduated from Lakota High School, he then attended Eastern Kentucky University and graduated with a bachelor's degree. After obtaining his bachelor's degree Ernest joined the United State Air Force.

Ernie was very active in sports and playing a variety of sports including baseball, basketball, track and cross country. He was inducted into the Butler County Hall of Fame and the Lakota Hall of Fame. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren at sporting events. He also enjoyed camping, boating, and bluegrass music.

Ernest is survived by his sons Eric (Jeanne) DeBord and Jason (Sarah) DeBord; grandchildren Lillian, Lyndsay, Emma, Paige and his brother Don (Betty) DeBord.

He was preceded in death by his wife Esther DeBord of 58 years on February 19, 2024, and his brother James (Ann) DeBord.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd, Mason, Ohio 45040 from 3:00pm-5:00pm with a funeral service to follow on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 1pm.  Burial will take place on Monday following the funeral service at West Chester Cemetery.
