Gene was a friendly and gregarious man. He spent his career with West Shell Realtors for more than 40 years. He was an active community and church member, volunteering countless hours with Our Daily Bread soup kitchen, Heritage Presbyterian Church, and his local Kiwanis club.
Traveling the world with Joanne was a hobby of theirs, but nothing compared to Gene’s favorite spot in Maine where he could be found sitting in a rocking chair enjoying the serenity and charm of the coastline, towns, and lighthouses surrounding him.
Gene was an avid golfer who golfed twice a week and was known for walking the course. He very much enjoyed his golf group and the time they shared visiting courses throughout the years. One of Gene’s other hobbies was the thrill and relaxation of fishing.
He will be remembered for the pride he took in the family he created, never forgetting to express his love and gratitude for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Spending time with his family brought Gene an immense amount of joy.
Gene will be missed by all who know him.
