Eva Lustig 87, of Lebanon Ohio, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday March 1, 2024, after battling Parkinson’s Disease for more than 25 years. She was born on December 20, 1936, in Hartford, Connecticut to Adrian and Carolyn Palmer and was married to Alan Lustig, Sr., October 6, 1973, for 43 years until his death on August 6, 2016. Eva graduated from St. Luke’s Hospital in 1958 and worked in geriatric care at Carillon Nursing Home Huntington, New York until she retired in 1988. While Eva’s career as a registered nurse showcased her compassionate nature, it was her dedication to her family that truly defined her. She was a devoted wife to Alan, and a loving mother to her surviving daughters, Kelly (Ryan) Tabor; Lori (William) Hammond; Jennifer (Christopher) Romano; grandchildren, Dean Tabor; Sean Hammond; Miranda Romano & Frankie Campisano; Madison (Zachary) Toomey; Julia Romano & Ryan Mitchell; Morgan (Shelby) Romano; Habtamu Romano; great-granddaughter, Emma Hammond. She cherished every moment spent with her growing family as it brought her immense joy. Eva had a flair for standing out, living a life filled with love and laughter. Eva’s vibrant personality and chic sense of style were evident to all who knew her. She had the ability to light up a room with her presence, always radiating confidence, grace, and a little bit of sass. Eva’s memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends. Eva’s legacy of love, style, and individuality will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in peace, knowing that she left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
