Eva Bow Porter

December 6, 1933 — February 10, 2022

Eva Bow Porter, of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the age of 88. She was born Wednesday, December 6, 1933 in Pride, Kentucky to Clarence Reid and Esther (nee Strouse) Piercey.

Eve graduated from Deer Park High school in 1952 where she was a cheerleader and was active in many organizations. She was known by classmates to have a “halo of sunshine.” She soon joined the Procter & Gamble Company where her sister Pat also worked. She made many life long friends and retired in 1995.

Eve was an excellent bowler, competing in local tournaments, a woman’s league, and running the Saturday Kid’s League at Colerain Bowl for many years. Her children often joke that they were raised at
Colerain Bowl. She became an avid tennis fan and she could be seen for many years all week long at the Cincinnati ATP tournaments with Pat and many friends. She loved Frank Sinatra and watching the Cincinnati Reds.

Eve was blessed with a close group of friends known simply as “Card Club.” They met monthly for over 60 years, raised families together, travelled together and had loads of fun. When it was Eve’s turn to host, her kids knew that the laughing and fun would be heard until the wee hours of the morning.
Eve loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Eva was preceded in death by: parents, Clarence and Esther Piercey; brother, Reid Piercey; sister, Patricia Woods; and nephew, Rick Woods.

Eva is survived by: daughter, Kim (Richard) Ward; sons, Kevin Porter, Keith (Susan) Porter, and Ken Porter; grandchildren, Ryan (Dare) Howell, Alexander Ward, Adam Ward, Stephanie (Mike) McArthur, Nicole Stephens, Eric (Marcie) Stephens, Kyle Porter, Kole Porter, Kory Porter, and Eric Porter; great-grandchildren, Drew Buchwald, Elena Castillo, Audrie Wagner, Jameson Porter, Amelia Stephens, Colton Stephens and Carter Howell; many loving family members including nephews, Chris Woods, Jonathan Woods, Rex (Donna) Bailer, and Evan Patrick Piercey.
