Florence Elaine (St Mane) Gregory
10/31/1930-2/13/2021

Florence was born in West Allis, Wisconsin at the start of the Great Depression to Theodore O. and Frances St Mane and spent her childhood growing up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her brother Wayne died as a teenager from polio. Through all of life's challenges, she willed herself forward with a positive spirit that never wavered.

From the wintry North Woods, Flo traveled to the sun of Southern California to find work, independence, and a bit of adventure. There she fell in love with a sailor who, she said, looked pretty good in a baseball uniform. And so began a great love that has inspired all of those who have had the privilege to witness.

She married Donald J Gregory in Coronado, California on June 11, 1955. Flo moved sight unseen to her new husband's hometown of Cincinnati to raise a midwestern family together. Flo and Don were happily married for 65 years.

Flo's passions in life were the arts, gardening, cooking, dancing, and traveling the world with her soulmate. She was so proud of her Swedish heritage and celebrated traditions and holidays to the fullest. Flo accepted others unconditionally, was a loyal friend, and had a deep faith in God.
Nothing gave her greater joy than her pride in her family, as she was the ideal cheerleader for all four children (and their spouses), Don (Diana) Gregory, Susan (Jim) LeGates, Lisa (Jeff) Strine, and Laurie (Seth) Harris; thirteen grandchildren, Dan, Kaleigh (Chas), Lindsay, David, Michael, Ryan, Kristina (Wilson), Gregory, Jason, Kodie, Cole, Skylar, and Luke; and two great-grandchildren Liam and Parker. She emphasized the best qualities of each, all the while making each one feel special. Her family admired her greatly and loved her deeply. She will be forever missed, but long remembered for her grace, kindness, positivity and joyful spirit.

Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2021 from 10:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St John the Evangelist Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to Ohio Health Hospice or the Susan G Komen Foundation.
