Frederick Louis Bricca

12/23/32-3/26/24

Frederick L Bricca (age-91) took his final flight west on March 26, 2024.  Fred was an avid fly fisherman, golfer and Formula 1 enthusiast.  His family was everything to him.  Fred was born and raised in Lower Manhattan and enlisted in the army during the Korean War.  Upon returning home, he married the love of his life, Dorothy.  He graduated from the Academy of Aeronautics and took a job as an aircraft mechanic with Pan American World Airways. Fred progressed through the ranks at Pan Am from an avionics technician, to lead line mechanic, to eventually becoming a senior quality control inspector signing off Pan Am jets as they came out of heavy maintenance checks to traverse the globe.

Fred was an aviation enthusiast and enjoyed fabricating and building early aviation scale models.  He and his family traveled the globe on Pan Am to many exotic places before international travel became so mainstream.

After the merger between Pan Am and Delta, Fred spent his last couple of years working for Delta Air Lines, a company he loved working for.

He retired, golfed, fished and traveled while he and Dotty spent as much time as they could with their seven grandchildren.  He was the compass of the Bricca family.  He always put his family first.  His children and his grandkids were the most important parts of his life.  He lived life to its fullest.  Never a complainer, Fred always did what it took to get things done and in doing so always took the time to enjoy the little things in life along the way.

A life well lived.

Fred is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy of Mason, son Fred(Missy) Bricca of Liberty Township, daughter, Karen(Brennan)Cullen of Milwaukee, and his seven grandkids-Caila(Oliver)Beach, Ashley Cullen(Lee Pearman), Emily Cullen (Isaiah Aldridge), Abby Cullen(Noah Hammon), Christian Bricca, Lauren Bricca, Collin Bricca, and great grandchild Eloise Beach.
