Gang Zhang

Gang Zhang, 40 , of Mason, Ohio, passed away on January 17, 2022, due to a massive heart attack.  Gang was born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China, on October 23, 1981.

Gang received his Ph.D in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from Jilin University in 2009.  He was an Associate Professor at the university till he moved to the US in 2017.  He was an Assistant Research Professor in Polymer Materials at the Pennsylvania State University.  In 2019, Gang joined LyondellBasell Industries and excelled as a researcher in product application development.

Gang liked traveling with his wife and son. He enjoyed running marathons, playing basketball and reading. With Gang's sudden passing, his parents lost their only son, his wife lost her beloved husband, his son lost his loving father, and his friends lost their close friend. He will be dearly missed.

Gang's memorial service will be held at Mueller Funeral Home (6791 Tylersville Rd, Mason, OH 45040) at 9 am(EST)on January 22, 2022. For friends who cannot attend the funeral, you can access the live streaming of the funeral on Zoom. Please join us to celebrate Gang’s short but wonderful life.
