Gary W. Butikofer

Gary W. Butikofer, of Liberty Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the age of 58. He was born Friday, August 30, 1963 in Long Beach, California to James and Dorothy (nee Volkman) Butikofer.

Growing up, Gary had a love of animals and the outdoors. His quick-wit lead to many family jokes and he held a strong passion for politics. When it came time for holidays, you could depend on Gary to be in the kitchen creating a feast. His presence, passions and humor will be missed by all that knew him.

Gary was preceded in death by: father, James Butikofer; and sister, Debbi Prater.

Gary is survived by: wife of 29 years, Kathy (nee Meyer) Butikofer; children, Austin Butikofer, Blake (Fiance, Libbey Ryland) Butikofer, and Regan Butikofer; mother, Dorothy Hensley; siblings, Dedee Little, Randy (Nicole) Butikofer, and Tammy Butikofer; brother-in-law, Glenn Prater; and other loving family members and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held privately by the family.
