Gary Allen Hagan of Morrow, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Gary was born on November 1, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to the late George and Janeene (nee Deeley ) Hagan.

Gary is survived by his wife, Nancy (nee Lemons) Hagan, children Ken (Amy) Hagan, Steve (Nikki Ross) Hagan, and Paul Hagan, grandchildren Andy Hagan, Tommy Hagan, Kate Hagan, Chris Hagan, Nick Hagan and Cadence Hagan, siblings Joy Ash, Mark (Erin Peak-Taylor) Hagan, brother-in-law Ken (Bar b ) Lemons as well as many loving family members.

Some of his f on de st memories are of attending Camp Leelanau on Lake Michigan near Glen Arbor , w here he develope d skills in ri f l e ry , crafts and w aterskiing. He earned the title of A- Camper and became a C ounselor . He retained his l ove of fishing, hunting, boating, camping and the o utdoors throughout his life.

He earned a Bachelor of Science i n Industrial E nginee ring at the Uni versity of Mic h igan where he met his future wife, Nancy. They were married for over 55 years.

They moved to Cincinnati when he took a job at Procter & Gamble and st arted a family, having three sons: Ken, Steve & Paul.

After 11 years at P & G , he became a real es tate agent and after a couple more years and many transactions he became a broker and opened his own office , Hagan Real Estate .

He became interested in flying and earned his private pilot’s license with an instrument rating. He c o-owned a Cessna Skyhawk with Bengals Head Coach Sam Wyche around th e time the Bengals went to the S uper Bowl.

He was later a D irector of Finance for Toyota and earned many incredible vacation experiences around the world, such as traveling on a private charter of the Orient Express through the Swiss Alps and Italy.

He returned to real estate and took particular interest in creatively helping people solve real estate problems.

He excelled at woodworking , from cabinetry and custom framing to helping his sons and grandkids build competitive Pinewood Derby cars year after year.

He grew amazing tomatoes, peppers and many other organic vegeta bles , while somehow keepin g the critters at bay. He also planted thousands of flowers for his grateful wife.

He was active in his Church and loved helping others, whatever the need.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 11:00 to 1:00pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio. Services will also be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 1:00pm at Mueller Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gary’s name to the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 620 Springfield Pike, Wyoming, Ohio 45215 .
