Georgia ‘Hannie’ Helen (nee Rawlings) Tracy, 92, of Mason, passed away with her family by her side on October 1, 2023. Born to George and Nell (nee Sexton) Rawlings on January 28, 1931, in Oneida, Tennessee.
She was a 1948 graduate of Mason High School and was a lifelong resident in the area. She attended Sue Bennett college and The University of Kentucky where she studied Business. Georgia was a homemaker for many years and a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed celebrating Christmas with her family, she gardened, was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles.
Earlier in her life, Georgia looked forward to playing in her weekly bowling league with her daughter. She also loved antiquing with her husband, and her home was thoughtfully decorated with their collection. Before becoming a homemaker, she worked as a secretary for General Electric. After her children were grown, she was a librarian with the Mason Public Library for 18 years. Georgia was proud to be a part of the Mason community and was a member and supporter of the Mason Historical Society
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband W. Gordon Tracy, son, Shane Tracy, grandson, Ben Tracy, and brother Glen “Buddy” Rawlings.
Georgia is survived by her children, Jill (John) Meyer, Greg Tracy, and Todd (Marianne) Tracy, grandchildren, Jenny (Zach) Niehaus, Andy (Alina Fortson)Meyer, Shawn (Mollie) Tracy, Rick (Kris) Tracy, Mary (Travis) Glover and Daniel (Bekah) Tracy, and seven great grandchildren.
An inurnment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason.
Memorial donations may be donated in her name to the Volunteer Friends of the Mason Public Library and the Warren County Humane Society.
