Homer Lee Smith, 90 of Mason, OH passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. Lee was born in Grants Lick, KY to Chester and Esther Smith in 1929.
Homer Lee was the beloved husband of Margie (nee Tipton) Smith for 41 years, devoted father of David (Cindy) Smith, Beverly (Tom) Klug, Deborah (Dana) Shafer, Gary Smith, Linda (Richard) Lau, Jacqueline (Junior) Burlile and Nickie (Michael) Haynes, loving grandfather of 16, great-grandfather of 27 and great great-grandfather of 1, also survived by Marjorie Price friend and former spouse.
Lee joined the US Marines just after his 17th birthday. He was involved with the cleanup of WWII. He worked for Procter & Gamble Company and retired after 39 years. Lee always looked forward to his vacations. In the summer it was to the beach and winter is was a snow skiing trip. He enjoyed music and played the harmonica and accordion for several years. He was a self-taught computer user and loved teaching all the kids his craft. After all the grandkids came along he was very good at creating greeting cards for everyone for all occasions.
Visitation at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 11 AM until time of Service at 1:00 PM. Military Honors and interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
