Harold Jeffrey Hayes

Harold Jeffrey Hayes of Maineville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, February 8th.
Born to Harold and Edith Hayes on September 23, 1955 in Newport News, Virginia.

Jeff graduated from Ferguson High School in 1973. In 1979, he entered an apprenticeship program, later becoming a member of Operating Engineers Local 147 in 1983. Always a dedicated worker, Jeff worked as an equipment operator for more than 30 years.

A devoted fisherman, Jeff loved to be around the water. Many of his best years were spent surfing in the Outer Banks. When away from the beach or lake, Jeff was an avid sports fan.

Jeff was known for being a loyal friend, a wonderful husband and a loving father. He was also known to be a jokester and magician to his host of nieces and nephews. To Jeff’s surviving sisters’ in-laws and brother in-laws, Jeff was both family and friend.

He is preceded in death by parents Harold and Edith Hayes.

J eff is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lisa Hayes, son Jeremy Hayes, daughter Shannon Hayes and sister Robin Goodwin.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, February 14th at 2:00pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to one of Jeff’s favorite organizations, Casting Freedom, a program in response to veterans and the increased therapeutic benefits of the outdoors.
