Ida Mae Middleton Norton DeVore

Ida Mae Middleton Norton DeVore, born December 6, 1931, in Mason, Ohio to the late Theodore “Bud” and Elenora (nee Boland) Middleton. She was the oldest daughter of 14 children. Ida Mae passed away February 3, 2025. She is survived by her children Gary (Nancy) Norton, Kathy Norton, Greg (Margie) Norton, Brenda Koller, Ron (Jane) Norton, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, siblings Don (Sis) Middleton, Beverly Bowers, Linda Middleton, Barb Powers, Tom (Kim) Middleton, Tim (Lisa) Middleton, and many nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Charles Edward DeVore, children Carolyn Sue Fultz and Michael Norton, son-in-laws Timothy Koller and Jim Fultz, grandchildren Craig Lilley and Michael Bonner, siblings Robert and Dorthy Middleton, Richard and Betty Middleton, Clara and Dave Adams, Dale and Bobbie Middleton, Jim and Carol Middleton, Bill Middleton, Harold Bowers, Teddy Middleton (KIA), Jim Powers, and Baby Middleton.

Ida was a lifelong resident of Mason, Ohio. She worked as a career restaurant manager. For many years she worked at the Dinner Bell. While working at the Western Row Golf Course she met her husband Charles Edward DeVore. Ida Mae and Charles enjoyed traveling and going on fishing trips. Eventually she retired early to care for her husband.

After Ida retired she enjoyed making quilts for her children and grandchildren. She even made quilts for her granddogs. Ida enjoyed playing cards with her family and often there was a card game going on at family gatherings. Later in life Ida Mae liked to frequent the different casinos and could often be seen at Miami Valley Gaming.

Visitation for Ida Mae will be held on Friday, February 7th, 2025, beginning at 11:00AM until time of service at 12:30PM at Mueller Funeral Home (6791 Tylersville Road, Mason OH 45040) Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason, OH.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Ida Mae to the Vietnam Veterans of America or Ohio Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties
