Jack V. Kohler, of Maineville, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by those he loved on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the age of 96.  He was born Friday, May 27, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky to Phillip J. and Mae (nee Shelton) Kohler.

An honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, Jack earned his private pilot's license in his early 20's.  He was drawn to all aspects of aviation, enjoying hot air balloons and gliders as well.  He married the love of his life, Bettie Sturgeon, on September 19, 1949 in Guston, Kentucky following a short courtship of nine months.  Together, the couple created a home that was filled with love and laughter along with their six children. An energetic and diligent entrepreneur, Jack owned and operated Kohler Trans Services which is still run by family today.  When time allowed, Jack enjoyed a good round of golf or tennis, and working the daily crossword puzzle.  Jack will be forever loved and cherished.

Jack was preceded in death by: parents, Phillip and Mae Kohler; siblings, Alice Walker, Robert Lee Kohler, and Phillip Kohler; and son-in-law, Jim Sutter.

Jack is survived by: his wife of 74 years, Bettie Kohler; children, Melody (Mike) Zrelak, Mary-Lynne (Bob Werther) McKee, Monica Kohler, Mauri Sutter, Mindy (John) Hattfield, and Jack Kohler; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Marian Miller; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2023 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.  Please join the family for a light reception following the service.
