Jack Schwietert

John H. "Jack" Schwietert, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the age of 87. He was born Sunday, March 25, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Marcellus J. and Alma F. (nee Von Hagel) Schwietert.

An honorably discharged veteran of the US Army, Jack was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Kolping Society of Cincinnati, the largest in the Unites States. Jack loved gardening and traveling, but was up for just about anything, if family was involved. There was nothing Jack valued more than time with those he loved the most. He made this evident as he attended his grandchildren's sporting events over the years.

He will be forever cherished by those that felt his love.

Jack was preceded in death by: parents, Marcellus and Alma Schwietert; daughter, Amy Hochstuhl; son, Ken Schwietert; and sisters, Patricia Trimble, Alice Huelseman, Mary Rebholz, and Ann Lind.

Jack is survived by: loving wife, Sharon (nee Schoenberger) Schwietert; son, Stephen (Dominique) Schwietert; son-in-law, Steve Hochstuhl; grandchildren, Joshua Schwietert, Anthony Schwietert, Lea (Drew) Barker, Timothy Schwietert, and Sarah Hochstuhl; sisters, Elaine Osterling, Marcia Brisben, Constance Schwietert, and Paula Linser; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, June 14, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial Service at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Roger Bacon High School or St. John the Evangelist Church .
