James F. Gross

James F. Gross, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away March 30, 2024 at the age of 93.  He was born December 20, 1930 in Middletown, Ohio to Vernal and Margaret (nee Mack) Gross.

Family was first for James.  With an entrepreneurial spirit, James had his hands in several different projects/businesses.  He truly enjoyed when he owned and operated the gas fireplace store as well as when he worked for Greater Cincinnati Parks.

James was preceded in death by: wife, Sylvia K. (nee Kuderer) Gross; parents, Vernal and Margaret Gross; son, James Gross; daughter, Cynthia Rahe; son-in-law, JR Ratz; brother, Maurice Gross; and sister, Barbara Gross.

James is survived by: son, Joseph (Robin) Gross; daughter, Kelly (Brett Smith) Ratz; daughter-in-law, Laurie Brown; grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob (Mary), Jacqueline (JP), Amanda, Bryan (Megan), Rebekah (David), Zachary (Randi), & Ryan; great-grandchildren, Sean, Ethan, Izabel, and Penelope; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.  Interment will be in West Chester Cemetery.
