JAMES R. HARRIS LIVE STREAM SERVICE
James Robert Harris, 75 of Monroe, passed away on November 12, 2022. Born to Loren and Wanita (nee Bonifant) Harris on April 14, 1947, in Zanesville, Ohio.
James was a proud veteran in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was an over the road truck driver for 33 years and was recognized for driving more than 4 million miles accident free. Being on the open road was his passion.
He enjoyed Nascar, was a Corvette enthusiast, a great storyteller, loved to take part in teachable moments with his family, and enjoyed golfing with his brother in laws Jim and Ralph.
James was a family man through and through. Always supportive of his grandchildren. From concerts to sporting events he could be found in the stands cheering them on. A proud Pappaw.
Preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Wanita Harris, beloved wife, Wilma Jean Harris, son, Christopher Harris and brother, William Loren Harris.
James is survived by his loving daughter, Stephanie (Eric) Mason, two stepchildren, Gregory Leicht and Carla (Greg) Betz, four grandchildren, Danielle Ball, Ashlee Ball, Mikayla Mason and Braden Mason, four great grandchildren, Clayton and Colton Pauley, Harlan Ball and Eisley Rojas, and sister-in-law, Ruth Anne Harris.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21 st from 12:00 noon- 1:00pm with a memorial service at 1:00pm all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) or Yellow Ribbon Support Center.
