James Ambrose Patterson , 79 of Mason, passed away on June 12, 2022. Raised and loved by Clarence and Rosina Irene (nee Rottenberger) Patterson on February 10, 1943, in Lebanon, Ohio.
James was a veteran and retired after 20 years and 8 months with the United States Army. Working his entire career as a Senior Supply Sgt. James was also a dedicated member of the Fort Ancient Restored Machinery Club since 2010. Anything that had to do with collecting tractors, working on tractors, or riding tractors made him happy.
James was raised on a farm before getting drafted to the United States Army. Farming was his way of life and he truly enjoyed it. He took pride in the life lessons he learned through farming and found a way to raise his children and grandchildren under the same lessons.
Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Irene Patterson, biological mother, Francis Clemens, love of his life, Dora Patterson, companion and wife, Carol Rowland Patterson, two sons, Russell, and William Patterson and one brother.
James is survived by his four children, Patricia Patterson (Ray Baker), Beth Hance, Linda Way, Michael Patterson (Tracy), nine grandchildren, Natasha, Saunja, Elizabeth (David), Christy, Chezarea, Austin, Shawntel, Cheyenne, and Jenna, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, and his best friend, Warner Ross.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17 th from 10:00-11:00AM with a funeral service at 11:00AM all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason OH 45040. Interment to follow in Spring Grove Cemetery.
