James K Poteet, age 83, formerly of Loveland, Ohio passed peacefully on May 19, 2022. Born to the late Casper and Ruth Poteet, he is also predeceased by his wife Linda, his brother Samuel Poteet, and his sister Clarissa Landen.
James is survived by his Aunt Doris Jean Kallmeyer, several cousins, his sisters Bonnie Henrich and Amelia Robinson, sister-in-law Barbara (Jim) Large, brothers-in-law Carl (Cindy) Large and Reynold (Deb) Large; his children Kimberly (Jim) Bowling, Greg, Kenneth (Jane), and Marc; his grand-children Ava, Karla, Alex, Blake, Lauren, Matthew and Mikayla; his great-grand-children Genevieve, Elly, Brayden, Tyler, Zachary, Bella, Addison and Tara; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was also a special Pa-Paw to Kaitlyn and Patrick Bussey, Kasie Bowling, and Jacob, Lucas and Asher Kaiser.
Jim was a 1957 Lockland High School graduate, Army Veteran Sharpshooter, 33 Degree Scottish Rite Mason and retired Engineer from the Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company. During his retirement years he enjoyed Retiree Golf Outings, Annual trips to the Lockland/Reading Memorial Day Parade, couples cruise vacations, casino gambling slots with the free food buffets, attending grandchildren's and great grandchildren's school, music, art and sports activities and hosting family holiday gatherings.
Visitation will be at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason Ohio 45040 on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 10 AM until time of Service at 12 noon. Oakley Masonic Lodge #668 F&AM and the Order of the Scottish Rite will conduct services at 11:30 AM.
Memorial donations may be made in James name to the Parkinson's Association .
