James M. Weisbrod, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the age of 73. He was born Sunday, October 10, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ervin N. and Ruth (nee Groh) Weisbrod.

At the age of 21, Jim said "I Do" to the love of his life, Alice M. Thorman. The next 52 years, would prove to provide a lifetime of memories. It didn't take long for Jim to learn if he planned on getting a word in between his new bride and her sisters, it was best to silently raise his hand and wait his turn. Born with a trowel in his hand, Jim continued the family tradition of bricklaying which continues to this day. He loved to work with his hands and found great joy in working with wood creating masterpiece heirlooms for family and friends to cherish. Perhaps the best storyteller around, Jim was also known for his "Pappy" and "Dad" jokes. A problem solver, Jim was quick to jump in with a solution even if it meant wrangling a snake from a grill. While Jim had many joys in life, his family was his greatest love. From spending the weekends at Elk Lake Shores in Kentucky to family vacations in St. Augustine, Florida, he was there with his stories and jokes.

Jim was preceded in death by: father, Ervin N. Weisbrod; and brother, Johnny Weisbrod.

Jim is survived by: wife, Alice M. Weisbrod; children, Chris (Teresa) Weisbrod, Heidi (Matt) Lapensee, Emily Weisbrod, and Matt (Tia) Weisbrod; grandchildren, sweet Rebelynn Rose Weisbrod, treasured grandsons, Logan Lapensee and Mason Lapensee, the hooligan Colton Weisbrod and the princess Chesnie Weisbrod; he was blessed with four extra grandchildren Maren, Violet, Caroline, and Barrett; mother, Ruth Weisbrod; brothers, Nick Weisbrod and Michael (Vikki) Weisbrod; many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  FACE MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED. Interment will immediately follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Schuh Center Food bank at St. Susanna Church.
