Jean F. Howlett

Jean F. Howlett (nee McDonald) of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully Monday, March 18, 2019 at Magnolia Springs Loveland. She was born Thursday, October 23, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ronald and Dorothy (nee Palmer) McDonald.

If you are a Loveland resident, you might recognize Jean from the Post Office where she worked for 16 years. She had several other career paths, but her favorite of all was probably being a model attendant for Ryan Homes. Jean loved to keep her mind busy with bookkeeping and reading books.

The kitchen table was often taken over by puzzles, a love Jean shared with her daughter, Vicki. An artist, she loved painting with acrylics and doing crafts. Born with a green thumb, Jean could grow just about anything with a favorite being the tulip.

On anniversaries, Jean and David enjoyed going to the La Comedia. As any true Reds Fan, you could count on the game being on. When the holidays rolled around, you could find Jean infront of the television anxiously watching the parades.

Jean was preceded in death by: parents, Ronald and Dorothy McDonald; husband, David Howlett; and daughter, Vicki Howlett.

Jean is survived by: sons, Douglas (Donna Ping) Howlett and Daniel (Julie) Howlett; grandchildren, Holly (Joe) Gieser and Andrea Howlett; great-grandchildren, Xander Williams, Gage Gieser and Lexi Gieser; sister, Bonnie (Joe) Widmyer; brother, David (Linda) McDonald; and many other loving family members and friends.

A Visitation will be Friday, March 22, 2019, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd., Mason, OH 45040. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 23, 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Julie Alsip of Faith Community UMC officiating.
