Jean Lowery

November 10, 1932 — April 12, 2025

Jean (Stephens) Lowery was born 92 years ago on November 10, 1932 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to Charlie and Susie Stephens, the 7th of 12 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Susie; husband Paul; sisters Evelyn, Delma, Atrie, Mallie, Coleen, Genice and Betty; brothers Attis and Pete; daughters Sue and Paula.

She leaves behind her daughter Dottie Lambertson and husband Jim; grandchildren Amy Keller, Leesa Lance, Mark Lambertson and wife Laura, Andrew Lambertson, Kailyn Lambertson; great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and in-laws who loved her dearly.

Jean put her heart and soul into everything she did, whether it was work, service to her church or taking care of her family and friends. She retired from Continental Can in Springdale, Oh. in the mid-ninties but kept in close contact with many of the friends she made over the years working there.

Jean was a devoted Christian and member of the Church of God from an early age. She taught Sunday School for many years, starting while she was still a teenager. She sang in the senior choir, was a member of the Red Hats Club, was active in the shut-ins visitation program and most recently in the Pike Ladies ministries.

She will possibly be best remembered for the deviled eggs and Buckeye candy she made for many church dinners. She was an incredible gardener and took great pride in her flower and vegetable gardens, we would say she could put a dead stick in the ground and it would grow.

She loved cooking and was always ready to feed whoever came through her door. She could sew, crochet and quilt and was always happy to share her handy crafts, recipes or flowers with family and friends.

Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-granny. She was strong in her faith and fiercely loyal and protective of her family and friends. Her greatest wish was to see all one day in Heaven. Even though our hearts are broken at losing her, we are glad she is finally at peace and know there is a great reunion going on in Heaven right now.

Think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched…for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so very much.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th from 11:00-1:00pm with a funeral service at 1:00pm all at Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton Glendale Rd, Liberty Twp 45011. Interment in West Chester Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Pike Ladies at Princeton Pike Church of God.
